Why Are We The American People Still Paying The Victory Tax?

The War Revenue Act of 1917 was passed on October 3, 1917, 

providing for a temporary income tax during World War I. 

it expired on October 3, 1919, under the U. S. Constitution, Article I, 

Section 8: β€œTo raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of 

Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two years;”

This β€œtemporary” war-time tax continued to be enforced up until 

World War II when it was replaced by the Victory Tax. Prior to 

December 31, 1942, no individual, other than an officer of a 

corporation, an investor in stocks, or government employee,
was required to pay an income tax. Then:
