I got caught cheating….

I remember it like it was yesterday…

I was in 7th grade, and I was in trouble. We had a big test that was going to be 50% of our grade for that term, and instead of studying, I’d decided that it would be more important to hangout with my friends, watch TV, and do pretty much anything other than study all week.

As I looked over the test questions, I could feel the sweat beading up on my forehead. My goose was cooked. I didn’t know the answers to ANY of these questions.

That’s when it dawned on me…

I sat right behind the smartest kid in school. I’d never cheated before, but I decided it wouldn’t hurt to glance over her shoulder…

Just this one time. I was about halfway through the test when all of a sudden I heard a scream…

“I see you cheating!”

Busted.

Not only did I fail the exam, but I found myself in a mountain of trouble. I got sent home.

Of course my parents grounded me. And I felt pretty depressed about the whole thing.

I learned my lesson. That was the last time I cheated in school… ever.
