Hello. I'm a complete NEWBIE to the world of online businesses. But I'm throwing my hat into the ring as I try to maintain and improve my family's quality of life in the expensive city of Washington, DC.
See, my husband and I both have good -- no, great jobs. We've upgraded from the starter house to a beautiful new rowhouse in an up and coming neighborhood, complete with a lower level rental unit for additional income. And we're on a mission to be debt-free (with the exception of the mortgage) in 2-3 years. Sounds great, right? It is, but now we have a 3 year old and a baby and those great jobs also require a ton of work hours, taking us away from those kiddos. But being a stay at home mom isn't in the cards right now if we want to keep this very nice, new roof over their heads.
In comes this idea of passive income. Could I bring in some extra dough (while working full time and raising 2 kids) to pay down this debt a bit faster and cut back on hours working outside of the home (with a goal of ultimately becoming a full-on work at home mom)?
Is it possible? Probably. Can I do it? Well, we'll see.
For now, I'll be documenting this journey as I try to find the right niche, the right business opportunity, and the right work-life balance.
