I have been working online – part-time – for quite a few years. Most of the time I pushed hard in niche marketing – when sniper sites and exact match domains really worked. Made quite a bit with Adsense and mostly niche marketing of physical products as an affiliate. But the time has come to realise that when you are up against Google, and Amazon, and Facebook, the little fella has very little chance of getting top search engine rankings – with all the best on-page SEO, off-page SEO, link-building and social signals. It really came to be too competitive and the reward was diminishing for increasing efforts. I was even really big in Squidoo – doing soft marketing and niche and affiliate marketing – aaahh those were the days! I have never been in the make-money-online niche. Until now. I will go into some of the reasons I have joined the MMO crowd in some coming blog posts. On this page it is about introducing myself: I am late 40s, with 4 kids, most grown up. Here is a photo of me at my daughter’s wedding last year. I am a follower of Jesus. I work full-time, and dream of spending less time at the office and more time doing useful stuff – like growing veggies, helping refugees resettle, helping people find work and reducing the world’s reliance on fossil fuels.
