🎯 THE KICKER: Some Days Just Suck — That’s Part of It

No one talks about this part of the remote life.
 The off days.
 The weird loneliness.
 The brain fog when you’re 5,000 miles from everything familiar and can’t seem to write a sentence that isn’t garbage.

This lifestyle gives you freedom — but it also removes the structure that used to hold you together.
If you don’t build your own support system, it’s easy to drift.


😫 THE STRUGGLE: I Thought Freedom Would Feel Better

When I first got here, I thought being free would mean being happy all the time.

But no one warns you that freedom also means:

  • No one to vent to at lunch

  • No one checking if you’re okay

  • No one to snap you out of a slump

I’d have days where I couldn’t focus, couldn’t start, couldn’t care — and I’d beat myself up for it.
Which, of course, made it worse.
