Do photos stay in the cloud after you delete them?

Usually, photos do not disappear instantly after deletion. Many cloud services move deleted items to a trash or recently deleted folder for a period, often 30 days, before permanent removal. Some services keep backups or cached copies for longer. If you delete a photo from one synced device, the deletion may sync to the cloud and other devices. To keep a photo, download it or move it out of the synced folder before deleting. Check the service’s trash settings and retention policy. For important images, maintain an independent backup. Do not assume deleting from your phone leaves a cloud copy forever.
