Where can I store my photos permanently?

No single place stores photos permanently. Use a layered archive: a main library on a computer or external drive, a second local backup on another drive, and an offsite cloud or remote backup. For physical photos, use acid-free boxes and sleeves in a cool, dry place. Scan important prints and add them to the digital archive. Share copies with family so the collection exists in more than one location. Check drives and backups regularly, replace aging hardware, and migrate to new media as technology changes. Permanence comes from redundancy, maintenance, and repeated copying, not from one “permanent” device.
