It's straight from the heart...
Almost everyone of us has heard from experts online that "Money Is In The List".
I ignored this fact for first few years, then ordered an autoresponder account and waited for it to grow subscribers like apples on apple trees....lol and that never happened.
So I cancelled my autoresponder account saying - this doesNOT work!
Now I feel my acts were stupid and yes I did this atleast 3 to 5 times every few months/years.
New account, added few subscribers, waited for windfall cash then Cancelled account....
Finally after about 10 long years, I started making consistent sales every week from my email list.
So what really changed ? I stayed consistent with marketing efforts, driving traffic, mailing my email list once OR twice daily and as list grew older it started trusting me, still nowhere near $1 EPC as it is NOT a buyer's list but surely more than $0.15 EPC always and mostly around $0.30 to $0.50 EPC even using a freebie seeker list of just around 250 subscribers, these are folks who have opened atleast 1 email in past 30 days - others get deleted by me regularly to keep email list size healthy :)
Now I wont give up, will keep growing this tiny email list into thousands (atleast 50K) active subscribers in next few years!
