TGIF!

Today I was on a Zoom call with the rest of my Science Department (I am a full time HS Science teacher building my business in my spare time) and we were talking about the struggles that are existing now with communicating with students as part of our distance learning process right now.

It is crazy as we did not have time to plan anything specific with our students and are taking one week at a time right now seeing when and if we will even go back this year.

As I am in the state of NY (about 4-5 hours by car from the City) but in a relatively larger city and urban area known as Syracuse we have a continuing increase in COVID 19 cases in our county and just got notice that a second death has resulted from the virus.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of those people and we are still trying to get a sense of whether and how long we will see a growth of cases in our community.

While I am home and distance learning with my students and modifying the amount of work we try to assign...less is more in this case, I am also taking advantage of the time home to help my business.

I have been ramping up my efforts and getting a lot of content created, reports I wrote updated, advertising lined up, connections made and continuing to do as many things as I can to help build my business and be ready to come out on TOP after this scenario we are in comes to an end.

In our talk today we really do not know if we will go back to school this year, however our Governor claims so far we will go back after April 15 though he is assessing it bi-weekly.

My girlfriend, who works in dental said they are potentially being shut down until July with the exceptions of emergency cases, which is crazy though I know they deal with bodily fluids and blood spray near their faces...

...though they want to send hundreds to thousands of kids to be back in a building together...hmmm?

Day by day the plans and updates changed so again I continue to focus on things I can control to help my family come out on top of this.
