🤐 One reason you don’t hear about HEX in mainstream crypto media is because it’s been heavily gatekept since day one. Many influencers and crypto news outlets called HEX and its founder, Richard Heart, a scam-mainly because they didn’t understand (or didn’t bother to learn about) how the project was built. 

Some of the criticism came from the early distribution, where people sent ETH to a smart contract and received HEX in return. Critics were upset that the ETH went to a wallet that Richard controls, and they often ask, “Where did the ETH go?” Some even claim he used it to buy back HEX and make it look like more people were buying than there really were. But the truth is, a lot of real people were buying, and the community grew fast.

Despite the backlash, many of those early critics have now been discredited for not even reading the code or understanding how HEX actually works. 

Meanwhile, the HEX community - known as the HEXICANS - has only gotten stronger. On its way up, HEX did an unbelievable 10,000x return from its all-time low, and many early believers did really well.
