Your Desires and Dreams...

Your Desires and Dreams can come true.

Your Desires and Dreams can come true! Yes, it is true. Ask Walt Disney! Actually, I was able to visit his dream place a few years back. I remember just like yesterday!

The other day as I was sitting on my couch thinking about desires and dreams– Guess what? The word discouragement came to mind. Amazing how you can be so focused on your desires and dreams. Then, all of sudden a little fox called ‘discouragement’ will appear out of no where. Wow!

As an Entrepreneur, discouragement may come by way of other individual’s negativity or just an obstacle that you must face to get through to the next step or phrase. Tests come in all shapes, forms, and sizes. My good friend calls them ‘little foxes’. I must agree; however, it should never damper your desires and dreams to the point of no return. Your ‘WHY’ has to be GIGANTIC beyond limits. It is during times of distractions, let downs, disappointments, discouragement, struggles and setbacks, your “WHY” will keep you moving forward.

In life, we become discouraged for various reasons– it may be struggling in your businesses, finances, relationships or personal issues such as weight gain. We encounter these moments to either give in; quit OR hold on; keep going towards the prize–Your Desires and Dreams. Without goals, focus and perseverance, it’s easy to give up.

These six helpful tips have kept me going for many years and allowed me to be very successful in all areas of my life.

Six Helpful Tips

1. Meditation. Find a place of focus. Many people meditate through Yoga. This is great. For me, getting somewhere quiet and open e.g. my deck or walking trail where I can redirect my energy and think about nothing but the beauty of outdoors and nature. I love this quote: “Let no feeling of discouragement prey upon you, and in the end you are sure to succeed.” Abraham Lincoln

2. Listening to Inspirational songs/happy music. Uplifting songs with a positive message always does the trick for me e.g. “Happy” song by Pharrell Williams.

3. Reading or listening to audio of Motivational books and Experts. Self development and growth is great plus it has its perks since you decide. I always grab a great book to motivate me e.g. “The Motivation Manifesto” by Brendon Burchard or just listen to powerful speakers like Les Brown Tony Robbins on audio. You’ll be surprised but I can find almost anything on YouTube.

4. Consult with Mentor(s) to discuss solutions. You should have mentors you trust; who you can confide or consult with about issues. A good mentor will give you sound advice and guidance.

5. Serve others. See how you can help someone else and meet their needs. For example, I enjoy volunteering at Community outreach events to provide services to others who are less fortunate. It’s a great feeling to be able to give back and serve others.

6. Do something FUN! I like roller skating, walking along the lake front, live concerts, pampering myself. Find something fun for you and JUST DO IT!
