About Me
I am working with Metro Rubber Corporation, the pioneer is delivery "Electrical Insulation Safety Mats"
Safety mats are Personal Protective Equipments, working on - Prevention is better than Cure Principle.
Electro-safe insulating mats offer complete insulation of the workplace from electricity. Tough yet flexible Insulating mats are floored around High Voltage carrying Instruments & and machines, where workers spend time handling or maintaining them.
Anti-skid grooved surface is available in a micro chequered or dotted design, which serves multiple purposes. First, this prevents slippage & importantly minimizes the area of contact from the ground thus minimizing the intensity of leakage current.
Tensile synthetic Elastomeric material is used for the manufacturing of Safety Matting. That’s the reason even thin mats of the order of 2mm to 3mm thickness are enough to sustain as high as 65 Voltage.
Every lot before use undergoes a rigorous testing phase for Physical & and electrochemical properties. We follow BIS IS:15652-2006 norms for testing characterized such as Thickness, Size, Tensile Strength, Elongation (at breakpoint), Insulation resistance with Water, Leakage current (corresponding prescribed Class), Di-electric Strength, Effect of Ageing, Acid, Alkali, and various Oil grades normally associated with Industries.
Even the user can perform some basic testing to get an idea about the genuinity of the material. Unlike traditional Rubber Mats, Insulating Mats shouldn’t get strength by applying just human muscle power (Standard Mat needs 15N/mm2 force). The fire should extinguish on its own within 2-3 seconds of lighting through an external source.
