Some Useful Tips for Online Marketing

I was checking out ways to improve my online presence and came across the following useful tips...

A Website provides today's entrepreneurs with many opportunities but you have to watch out that you don't fall for some easy to make mistakes. Here are a few of them:

No one understands what your product or service offers.

Your website should be designed from your visitor's perspective (Imagine that you are the visitor). Your aim should be to clearly outline the benefits of how your products or services can make life easier, save them time, money or make them safer, more productive, ect.

Your content is too hard to find for your visitor.

Your visitor should not be more than 3 clicks away from the home page when looking for content. Keep navigation through your website simple and make sure your hypertext links are clearly organized allowing visitors to find exactly what they are looking for quickly and easily. Also make sure that your website has text that is easy to read and understand.

That's it for now, hope this proves useful.

My name is Stephen Fosner. A full time communications technology professional and have been for three decades. But times are changing in the Telecom Industry and my area of expertise (digital switching) is being phased out and replaced by VoIP (Voice over IP). Knowing this I decided to transition to an online business full-time which I've had an interest for quite a while. Also I am a part-time actor and have worked in several movies, a television show and a commercial. I love to travel and see new places and meet new people. I presently live with two totally demented cats in beautiful West Michigan and have lived and worked in New York City and Los Angeles and many places in-between.
