About Me
Growing these diamonds necessitates a novel method that begins with a thin'seed' diamond placed inside a chamber and then subjected to extreme temperatures. The chamber is then filled with a carbon-rich gas mixture. Ionization of the gases breaks down their molecular connections, allowing pure carbon to adhere to the diamond seed. As the carbon accumulates, it creates atomic bonds with the seed diamond, leading in the formation of a new, larger diamond that is identical to natural diamonds. And, like with the production of all beautiful things, creating a lab diamond takes time: a 1ct CVD diamond typically takes around a month to mature.
