Few weeks ago, a gigantic brand decided to do the dumbest thing that even a "mentally retarded" person (term used by doctors) wouldn't never be able to do as bad intentionally.

I don't know what repercussions did that ad cause in terms of actual numbers, but i know for sure that it didn't do well, in figurative words it was a boomerang that went back to hit the entity who launched it, and i'm sure it did hurt economically.

So, what went wrong?

The answer is, EVERYTHING.

I used to watch GILLETTE ads on television, and those ads made perfect sense with European football players shaving.

Yeah, as i stated above, i was talking about the awfully-dumb-farted-suicidal video GILLETTE showed to the entire world. If you didn't watch it, it's basically an ad about toxic masculinity with also racial stereotypes which aren't remotely accurate. The ad was all about shaming on men for not being as they should be.

Want to know who directed that video?

A Feminist.

Isn't that the dumbest move ever made ?

It's like wiring a cannibal babysitter to watch your child while you're working.

To be fair they tried to use a tactic that makes sense, but it doesn't because they did it completely wrong.

A marketing tactic that can bring you a lot of sales, if done correctly.
