The scene in "Spinning Man"

A professor is being suspected of murder. The professor teaches philosophy. And part of what he teaches is logic.

The detective covering the case had just finished talking with him, and as he walked out of the classroom he looks at the board.

On the board is written "prove that this chair exists", then below it was a wooden chair.

So the detective points out that the question is silly. Because the answer is instinctive. You don't have to prove anything.

But the professor drags it, that you'd have to prove it. That truth isn't instinctive. Bla bla.

Then he asks the detective, " Since truth is instinctive. Prove that that chair exists"

...and the detective looks at the chair, then at the professor then asked: "What Chair?"               

Lol...                                                                                                                                          

Very brilliant. With just that one question he shatters the professor argument. Like, if you can see the chair why the heck do I need to prove that it exists.
